WHAT ARE PERMANENT COSMETICS?
Permanent cosmetic makeup is cosmetic tattooing. The specialized techniques used for permanent cosmetics are often referred to as "micropigmentation" or "microshading". Cosmetic tattooing has come a long way incorporating artistry and skill to provide clients with more natural enhancements to their appearance.

The process includes a consultation, the application of pigment, and at least one or more follow-up visits for evaluating the healed design work and color of the pigment.

Are Permanent Cosmetics Really Permanent?
Permanent cosmetics procedures are considered permanent because pigment is tattooed into the upper papillary part of the dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. However, as with any tattoo or colorant in general, fading can and often does occur. requiring periodic maintenance.
How Long Does Each Procedure Take?
A typical PMU procedure can take up to 3 hours. A consultation separate from the day of procedure is required for this service. During your consultation, we will discuss pre and post care, manage expectations, map out the brows (if consulting for brows), discuss design and color preferences, and go over any paperwork necessary prior to the procedure appointment.
Is It Painful?
Patients may experience some mild discomfort, however this is dependent on the patient's pain tolerance and threshold. We do use topical anesthetics to make these services more comfortable. Most patients find that this service is very tolerable!
Are There Any Side Effects During or After the Procedure?
Light to moderate swelling to the treatment area can be expected depending on the level of work done to the specific area.
Will I Need a Touch Up?
Yes after your initial service you will return for a touch up between 1 and 3 months of your initial treatment. After your touch up, you should not need another touch up sooner than 1-3 years.
