Microdermabrasion Spring Lake, Monmouth County, NJ

Dr. LoBuono is a dermatologist offering microdermabrasion in Monmouth County, NJ.
It’s normal to have skin imperfections such as age spots, fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation issues.

We help patients achieve smoother, younger-looking skin through microdermabrasion in Spring Lake. Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that takes about 30 minutes to complete.

What Is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is an exfoliation technique that removes the outermost skin layer, revealing smoother, suppler skin. Skin resurfacing stimulates the circulation of blood to the skin’s surface, making the skin appear firm and healthy. The procedure rejuvenates sun-damaged skin, lessens the appearance of age spots and hyperpigmentation, extracts blackheads, and improves oily skin. It can also reduce fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, and acne scars

The treatment is non-invasive, pain-free, and does not have any downtime. Our office uses the DiamondTome™ Skin Resurfacing System. This system gently exfoliates the skin using natural diamond chips on the tip of the DiamondTome™ wand. It also vacuums the exfoliated skin cells in a controlled manner. By removing the skin’s outer layer, smoother skin is revealed and the growth of new skin is promoted. Our microdermabrasion treatments also include a cleansing, multivitamin mask, and moisturizing protection.

What Can I Expect From My Microdermabrasion Treatment?

Most of our patients achieve smoother, softer skin after their first microdermabrasion session. However, several treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results. Depending on the severity of the damage to your skin and the number of sessions you have received, your improved skin should endure. Most people start with two sessions per month and maintain their new look by having one session per month; Dr. LoBuono will advise you on the number of treatments needed to achieve your desired results.

Risks Of Microdermabrasion

Any discomfort from microdermabrasion is fleeting. There will be some redness and swelling, which will subside after a few hours. For the next couple of days, expect your skin to appear dry and flaky. Treated skin will also be extra sensitive to sun exposure, so sunscreen is required when outdoors.

"I’ve been to multiple dermatologists, none of which had been able to help me. Within 5 minutes of my visit with Dr. LoBuono he knew exactly what was going on and was able to develop a course of treatment. Truly he is experienced, honest, and personable. I would recommend him, especially out of other dermatologists in Monmouth County."
